What's the weather like in Gili Air?

Average year-round temperature stands at around 26-27°C. Water temperatures are always pleasant. 

It rains much less on Gili Air than on the neighboring islands of Bali or Lombok. The weather report mostly refers to northern Lombok, where it rains far more due to the proximity to the Rinjani volcano

Check-In / Check-Out 

Check-In is available from 12 pm (noon). Please note that check-out is at 10:30 am.  

Early Check-In / Late Check-Out 

If you like to request an early check-in, normally we are not able to promise it. We try our best to have the rooms ready as soon as possible, but it always depends on the check-out time of the previous guests. Late check-out is subjected to availability and can mostly not be confirmed in advanced. However, you are welcome to drop or store your bags at any time free of charge.  

Can I leave my luggage while waiting for check-in? 

Yes, you can drop your luggage. We will store your luggage free of charge on your check-in and check-out days.  

Do we need a horse taxi (Cidomo) to get to our accomodation? 

Taman Senang is within a few minutes walk. However, the paths are partly sandy. Horse carts (Cidomos) are waiting at the harbor. The price to us is normally Rp150,000 for 2 people. Extra persons or heavy luggage can cost a surcharge. 

Can we order a horse taxi (Cidomo) to pick us up at the harbour? 

Unfortunately, the island rules does not allowed to send you our preferred driver to the harbour. However, it is easy to find one if you arrive at day time. 

Can you pick me up from the harbor?

It is not possible for us to greet you at the port. But don't worry, you can easily find a horse carriage to take you to Taman Senang.

Do you offer WIFI? 

A wireless internet connection is available throughout our accommodation.


We try to provide the best internet available. Please note that you plan to vacation on a small tropical island. There is no cable connection between Lombok and Gili Air. That means the quality can be limited in bad weather conditions. In the event of power outages on Lombok or Gili Air, the internet may also be temporarily unavailable. This affects all accommodations on Gili Air. We apologize for any inconvenience.  

Is breakfast included in the price? 

Breakfast is included in the price. 

What time is breakfast served? 

We serve breakfast from 7 to 11 am. If you would like to have breakfast earlier, we will try to make this possible. Please speak with our front desk and submit your order in the evening. Your breakfast will then be served at your desired time.  

Are the prices quoted per room or per person? 

All prices are quoted per room.  

Are children allowed? 

For safety reasons, children can not be accommodated under 6 years. We do not have family rooms or connecting rooms. Please note that our rooms can only accommodate 2 persons each.  

Are extra beds available? 

Our rooms can only accommodate 2 persons each. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots in the rooms.  

Which payment method is available? 

We accept cash or credit card payments (VISA or MasterCard) on-site. For pre-payments, we accept credit cards (surcharge),  bank transfers, or WISE.   

What about money? Should I carry cash or can I pay by card?

In Taman Senang you can pay cash or by credit card (VISA and MasterCard) without extra surcharge. Payments outside of our resort are mainly cash, only larger restaurants accept card payments, although additional fees may apply. To withdraw money, several ATMs can be found around the islands.

Can I drink water from the tap?

Tap water cannot be drunk in Indonesia, to ensure you never go thirsty, in all our rooms are jugs of free filtered water, these can be refilled for free from water gallons which are located at the kitchen at Taman Senang.
