Getting To Gili Air
From Bali
Getting There
Your Way To Gili Air from Bali
Gili Air is the closest island of the three Gili Islands to Lombok. It is just off Lombok’s Northwestern Coastline
By Fast Boat from Bali
Most fast boats to Gili Air depart from Padang Bai (East Bali), Serangan (South Bali), or Amed (North East Bali). Your choice of port will depend on your preference for travel time (by boat or car) and your location in Bali.
Some boat companies include a free hotel transfer to and from Bali's main tourist areas in their ticket price, while others offer transfer services for an additional fee. Tickets can be purchased online through the official website of the boat company or via an online travel agent. If you prefer, you can also buy tickets during your stay in Bali without any issues.
Harbour Serangan
Serangan is the name of a port that is located about 20 minutes away from some of the famous tourist destinations located in the southern part of Bali island, including Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Jimbaran, and Nusa Dua.

Harbour Padang Bai
Padang Bai is not only a fishing village located on the east side of Bali. It is also the main port to cross to Lombok or Gili Islands. The fast boats head directly to the Gili Islands, while the slow ferry arrives at Lembar port on the southwest side of Lombok.

Harbour Amed
Amed is located on the northeast side of Bali and offers the shortest crossing to the Gili Islands. However, due to its less busy location, the boats here are smaller and typically less comfortable compared to the larger boats departing from Padang Bai. Unfortunately, the harbor in Amed is currently closed. In the meantime, Freebird is operating from Padang Bai until the Amed harbour reopens.
